Assistant Teacher

We are currently seeking a second qualified assistant teacher who shares our commitment to creating a safe, inspiring, and caring community for young children to thrive. Job entails connecting with and supporting children throughout the day, assisting in preparing and cleaning after meals, assisting with general upkeep of the classroom and outdoor environments, and assisting in activities throughout the day. We are looking for a patient and kind candidate who loves children and spending time outdoors, who can go with the flow and has an eye for organization. Hours: Flexible, 10-20 hrs/week

Pay Rate: Starting rate $20/hr, higher rates available for candidates with additional education and experience

Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent; must obtain a letter of approval as a Regular Assistant from the EEC (we will help you through this process), must have prior experience with children, in a professional setting or as a parent.  Must be CPR and First Aid Certified to be alone with 6 or fewer children (we will pay for you to take a CPR class if you are not yet certified). Once employed must have ten hours annually of EEC approved training with three of those hours devoted to diversified learners.  Training hours and CPR hours will be paid.
