Diversity Statement
At Earthstar Play School, we believe every child and family deserves to feel welcome, safe, and valued at school. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry, religion, age, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, family structure, ability, or socioeconomic background.
To the best of our ability, we welcome children with diverse abilities, including those who are neurodivergent or have health-related or developmental differences. We are committed to working closely with families to understand each child’s unique strengths and needs, and to fostering an environment where every child feels included, supported, and able to thrive. We strive to be as inclusive as possible and are always learning and adapting in support of the children in our care.
This commitment to equity and inclusion is reflected in the choices we make every day—the books we read, the toys and materials we offer, the topics we explore, and the relationships we nurture. We aim to help children recognize and celebrate the beauty, strength, and joy that flourish in diverse communities.
This commitment extends to our staff, families, volunteers, and community partners. We are always growing, always learning, and we hold ourselves accountable as we work together to build an inclusive school where everyone belongs.
